Texas CHIP Perinate Unborn is no-cost prenatal care for pregnant women and their unborn children, even if the mother does not qualify for Medicaid.
Members choose an HMO and an OB/GYN to give them all prenatal services. This includes coordinating referrals for all medically necessary specialty services. Based on their Federal Poverty Level (FPL), the coverage period for CHIP Perinatal Members is either:
Babies who receive CHIP Perinatal benefits after birth can renew for benefits under CHIP. There is no age limit for mothers-to-be. There is no waiting period for coverage to begin.
小优传媒 is a managed care organization that offers Texas CHIP Perinate Unborn coverage and provides services that are covered benefits of the CHIP Program. The 小优传媒 Network covers 20 counties in southeast Texas. Participating practitioners and providers are inside our service area.

If you/your child needs emergency services while traveling, go to a nearby hospital and then call us toll-free at 1.888.760.2600. If you/your child needs medical care when out of state, call us at 713.295.2294 or toll-free at 1.888.760.2600, and we will help you find a doctor.
If you/your child needs emergency services when out of state, go to a nearby hospital, then call us at 713.295.2294 or toll-free at 1.888.760.2600. You/your child will need to return to our service area for follow-up care when well enough. We cover care for true emergencies anywhere you/your child go inside the United States. You do not need to call your/your child鈥檚 Perinatal Provider or Primary Care Provider before getting emergency care but do call your/your child鈥檚 Perinatal Provider or Primary Care Provider and our Member Services within 24 hours of the emergency or as soon as possible.
Medical services performed out of the country are not covered by CHIP.

Drugs are listed as 鈥減referred鈥� and 鈥渘on-preferred.鈥� If you need a 鈥渘on-preferred鈥� drug, your doctor will need to submit a special request to get the 鈥渘on-preferred鈥� drug by calling Member Services toll-free at 1.888.760.2600.
